AUSTIN, TX — A pedestrian was killed on Sunday near the Circuit of the Americas where a Formula 1 racing event drew thousands of visitors over the weekend.
The victim, an adult male, reportedly was walking across FM 812 from the racing venue just after 6:30 p.m. when he was hit by a driver who fled the scene. Law enforcement officials said the vehicle is a blue or teal-colored Ford F150. The truck traveling eastbound on FM 812 could be a King Ranch edition and likely has front-end damage, officials said.
