Pee-Wee Herman Headed To Texas Decades After Search For Lost Bike

Paul Reubens will be stopping in Austin for the 35th anniversary tour celebrating his cult classic film chronicling his big adventure.

AUSTIN, TX — More than three decades after launching a search for his stolen bicycle in Texas, Pee-Wee Herman will be making a return visit to the Lone Star State with a stop in Austin, officials confirmed Monday.

The actor Paul Reubens (aka Pee-Wee Herman) will be stopping in the capital city for an 35th anniversary tour celebrating his cult classic cinematic achievement "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure." In addition to a screening of the beloved movie directed by Tim Burton, the actor will regale audiences with behind-the-scenes stories on the movie's making.

For those of us who love the movie — and find ourselves reflexively clapping in quick succession during the clapping part of the song "Deep in the Heart of Texas" is playing anywhere — the screening couldn't come too soon.
