1) As heavy winds pass through the city, isolated power outages are expected to be reported across the Austin area. Want to keep up with power outages? KVUE has the scoop here.

2) The Arctic Blast could bring the driest air ever documented in Austin. Get your lip balm, moisturizer, ointments and lotions ready! KXAN reports that "dew point temperatures today may drop as low as -15°. This would challenge an all-time record for the driest air ever sampled at Camp Mabry."
