It's the second-largest Powerball jackpot in U.S. history. It's a ginormous amount, dwarfed only by last summer's $1.1 billion jackpot that was ultimately won by a California couple. The cash payout for Wednesday's $700 million drawing will be a whopping $443.3 million.

The drawing will take place at around 10:10 p.m. tomorrow. Revisit this story later for an updated version that includes the winning numbers.

The prize has been rolling over for more than two months with no one matching all six winning numbers. It's been rollover after rollover since June 10 — 21 straight drawings without a winning match.

The winning numbers for Saturday that nobody drew were 17-19-39-43-68 and Powerball 13. You still might want to check your ticket, as there are smaller consolation prizes for matching some, if not all, of the numbers.

But back to the upcoming drawing. If someone does manage to match all six numbers this coming Wednesday, Aug. 23, that person or people will have beaten gargantuan odds. The odds of winning this monstrous jackpot are one in 292.2 million, according to statisticians.

But, hey, you gotta be in it to win it right?

The national lottery, Powerball is played in 44 states as well as Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. So there's your competition.

But you never know. The buildup to the current prize amount is reminiscent of last summer, when multiple rollovers culminated in the largest jackpot in U.S. history of $1.1 billion ultimately claimed by a California couple who are now, presumably, living the high life.
