ICYMI: Enter To Win Texas-Themed Harley-Davidson Roadster

Spoetzl Brewery, brewer of Shiner Bock, debuts sweepstakes with 4 bikes featuring artwork by Austin artists Denton Watts and Good Snake.

AUSTIN, TX — Bike fans still have a month for signing up to win a custom-designed Harley-Davidson Roadster motorcycle in a sweepstakes launched by Spoetzl Brewery, brewer of Shiner Bock.

Based in Shiner, Texas, the brewer over the summer unveiled four custom-designed Harley Davidson Roadster motorcycles inspired by the rich culture of Texas. The bikes are hand-painted featuring imagery of animals and scenery native to Texas.

Austin artist Denton Watts, a longtime Shiner fan and avid motorcycle rider, illustrated iconic Texas imagery, including an eagle, snake, ram, and skull. Watts spent summers of his childhood on the family ranch just outside of the town of Shiner, which influenced each of the works. Then, Austin design and custom-painting studio Good Snake adapted Watts' concepts, designed complementing typographic treatment, and hand-painted all artwork on the Harleys. The iconic Shiner Bock yellow on the bikes was the handiwork of Austin motorcycle finish legend Josh Treviño (with the assistance of Allen "Doc" Brown) of Treviño Customs.

This isn't the first time Shiner has celebrated the legacy of Texas (of which their refreshing beers are a part). Earlier this year, the brewer hosted a party in New Braunfels celebrating Texas Independence Day. Outside Gruene Hall, guests feasted their eyes on the Gas Monkey x Shiner truck ahead of it being revealed on Discovery Channel's Fast n' Loud. Painted bright yellow with the Shiner logo emblazoned on the side, the muscle truck was driven across the state in a promotional tour.

Since then, the brewery has grown to be one of the leading independent craft brewers in the country. But every drop of the award-winning beer is still brewed right where it all started 109 years ago.
