Missing 4-Year-Old Austin Boy Found Safe

A regional alert was issued after the child reportedly was abducted by his mother Thursday afternoon, but the boy was located by Friday.

AUSTIN, TX — An AMBER alert issued on Thursday for a boy said to have been abducted by his mother was canceled by early evening on Friday after the child was found safe, police said.

Marsdan Ellis Harp, 4, was the subject of a regional search after reportedly being taken from 9611 Dawning Court at around 2 p.m. on Thursday, as reported by the Travis County Sheriff's Office.

By 7 p.m., sheriff's officials reported via Twitter the child had been found safe, and was returned to his father.

AUSTIN, TX – The Travis County Sheriff’s Office has issued an AMBER alert for four-year-old Marsdan Ellis Harp.

According to deputies, the child was abducted from 9611 Dawning Ct. by his mother, Celina Jeanne Hap, at 2 p.m. on Thursday.

Harp was last seen travelling south on Mopac at FM 224 in a dark green Ford Fusion, Texas license plate LGV-3638.

The child was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts. He’s described at 3’9’’ tall and weighs 42 pounds. He also has brown hair and brown eyes.

Deputies are reminding readers that a regional AMBER alert will not activate alerts on cell phones nor will it appear on road signs. A regional alert is issued when it is believed the child and the abductor are still in the area.
