RM 2244 Bee Cave Road Improvement Project To Be Launched

Texas Department of Transportation plans widening of 3-mile road stretch between between Red Bud Trail and Walsh Tarlton Lane.

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation is poised to celebrate completion of the RM 2244 Bee Cave Road Improvement project, scheduling a ribbon cutting this week.

The project widened a three-mile segment of RM 2244 between Red Bud Trail and Walsh Tarlton Lane and included the construction of a center-turn lane, shoulders and pedestrian accommodations to enhance safety and mobility for area travelers.

The project began in November 2016 and completed in November 2019.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony to launch the project is scheduled on Friday, Oct. 25, at 2 p.m. at Independent Bank, 101 Westlake Dr.
