Police Apprehend Jewelry Store Robbery Suspects After Chase Through City Streets (Updated)
Police say armed suspects held store employees at gunpoint, and one fired a single shot into the ground as he took worker to back room.

ROUND ROCK, TX — Round Rock police arrested two armed suspects in connection to a jewelry store robbery Wednesday that resulted in a chase through city streets and the wielding of guns pointed to officers in the pursuit.
Round Rock Police Department Angelique Myers said two armed suspects entered the Stall Jewelers store at 1110 North Interstate 35 in response to a robbery-in-progress call at around 11:50 p.m. Myers said the suspects held the store employees at gunpoint, with one suspect taking an worker to the rear portion of the store and firing a single round into the ground.
Officers arrived on scene as both suspects fled on a motorcycle northbound on the southbound frontage road, Myers said. During the pursuit, the passenger pointed a weapon at officers several times, she added. In a maneuver intended to stop the suspects, the officer giving chase bumped the motorcycle as it turned onto FM 620, causing the motorcycle to fall down and the suspects tumble onto the ground, the spokeswoman said.
