RM 620 South Improvements To Be Detailed

Open house scheduled on Oct. 10 is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek, in Lakeway.

AUSTIN — The Texas Department of Transportation will host an open house to discuss proposed improvements to RM 620 South from SH 71 to Hudson Bend Road on Wednesday, officials said.

The Oct. 10 gathering is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek, in Lakeway, Texas. The purpose of the RM 620 South project is to improve mobility and safety along this heavily traveled corridor, officials explained. Proposed improvements include:

• Widening the existing four-lane divided roadway to a six-lane divided roadway by adding a third lane in each direction

• Adding raised medians

• Adding a continuous bicycle/pedestrian shared-use path along the corridor

The open house will allow citizens the opportunity to review and comment on the proposed project. Maps, drawings and project information will be on display, and project team members will be available to answer questions. No formal presentation will be given and attendees are invited to come and go at their convenience.
