RM 620 South Improvements Slated For Discussion
An upcoming open house will enable residents to hear more about plans for road enhancements from SH 71 to Hudson Bend Road.
AUSTIN, TX — Texas Department of Transportation officials will host a public hearing this week to discuss proposed improvements to RM 620 South, the agency announced on Tuesday.
The open house scheduled to take place on Thursday, Feb. 20, will be centered on enhancements planned for RM 620 South from SH 71 to Hudson Bend Road. The event is planned from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Lake Travis High School cafeteria, 3324 RM 620 South.
The open house portion of the gathering will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed with a formal presentation at 6:30 p.m. After that, those in attendance will be given an opportunity to comment on the plans, according to a press advisory.

The purpose of the RM 620 South project is to improve safety and mobility along this heavily traveled corridor. Proposed improvements include:
- Widening the existing 4-lane divided roadway to a 6-lane divided roadway with one additional travel lane in each direction.
- Adding raised medians.
- Adding continuous bicycle/pedestrian paths along both sides of the roadway.
Displays will be available for review and staff will be present to answers questions at the open house. Verbal and written comments from the public are requested.
