Robbery Suspects Sought By Austin Police

Three men are said to have entered the Oscar's Backyard bar in East Austin before firing guns and taking patrons' money over the weekend.

EAST AUSTIN, TX — Police are seeking the public's help in locating a pair of suspects wanted in connection to a robbery at a bar where two patrons were shot over the weekend, officials said on Tuesday.

The incident occurred on Sunday, Feb. 16, just before 5:30 a.m. at the Oscar's Backyard establishment along 6215 FM 969, police said. According to a press advisory, three suspects entered the business where they discharged firearms before taking money from bar patrons.

Two people were shot during the course of the robbery, police said. Both shooting victims were transported to an area hospital for medical treatment and later released, police added.

Police now seek help from the public in identifying the suspects. To that end, the Austin Police Department issued the suspects' descriptions and sketches:

  • Black male with light to medium complexion.
  • Approximately six feet, two inches tall, weighing 250 pounds.
  • Estimated to be in his mid-30s.
  • Bald or wearing black head covering.
  • Clean shaven.
  • Last seen wearing a black windbreaker with hood and white emblem on chest, dark pants and dark-colored gloves with red and white emblem.

  • Black male with dark complexion.
  • Approximately five feet, seven inches tall, heavyset build.
  • Estimated to be in his mid-30s.
  • Clean shaven.
  • Last seen wearing a black hoodie with hood pulled up and dark pants.

  • Black male with dark complexion
  • Approximately five feet, 11 inches tall, medium build.
  • Estimated to be in his mid-30s.
  • Clean shaven.
  • Last seen wearing charcoal grey hoodie with hood pulled up and black pants.
