Scholz Garten To Host Summer Solstice Celebration

First in a series of concerts scheduled to kick off on Friday, June 2`1, inside the longest running biergarten in America.

AUSTIN, TX — Scholz Garten — the longest running biergarten in America, established in 1866 — will stage its Summer Solstice Celebration this Friday.

The June 21 event is the first in a series of four shows over the next 12 months occurring every solstice and equinox, all featuring The Matt Gilmour Band with additional performances curated by Matt Gilmour, organizers wrote in a press advisory. A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit CareBOX.

Located at 1607 San Jacinto Blvd., Scholz Garten is a popular spot for drinks and German food. It's located in near proximity to the UT-Austin stadium, with a steady clientele following home games.
