Southbound I-35 Between Woodward Street, Texas 71 To Close

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — Motorists driving along Interstate 35 on Saturday night are advised of a major closure in South Austin.

Southbound Interstate 35 lanes between the Woodward Street exit ramp and Texas 71 will be completely closed on Saturday, June 29, starting at 11 p.m. through 10 a.m. on Sunday, June 30, Texas Department of Transportation officials said.

The road work also will prompt closure of the Woodward Street bridge, according to TxDot. Drivers traveling in the area are to be rerouted via detour to the frontage road, officials said. Motorists taking this route as part of their travel plans are urged to seek alternative paths in reaching their destination.
