- Austin Parks and Recreation Department is asking for input from the community regarding "the development of commercial use for Parkland dedication ordinance." Community members can "provide insight through forum discussions on how they want to use parks near work and what to consider for the new ordinance" by participating in a survey on the SpeakUp Austin: Parkland Dedication for Commercial Development" website. - A UFC lightweight boxing match between Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone and Joe Lauzon "was supposed to take place last weekend, at UFC 274 in Phoenix," but it had to be rescheduled due to Cerrone coming down with food poisoning. The fight will now take place on Saturday, June 18 at Austin's Moody Center located on The University of Texas campus at 2001 Robert Dedman Drive. "Cerrone, 39, has stated he wishes to get to 50 fights under the Zuffa UFC/WEC banner. He currently sits at the number 47" but "has not fought in front of fans since January 2020 because of the pandemic." - This year's Austin City Limits music festival will take place on "the weekends of Oct. 7-9, and 14-16 at Austin's Zilker Park, located at 2100 Barton Springs Road. The fest will feature performances from more than 100 artists, including "Red Hot Chili Peppers, SZA, The Chicks, P!nk, Paramore, Kacey Musgraves, Lil Nas X, Japanese Breakfast" and many more.
