St. David's HealthCare Buys 9 Urgent Care Sites In Central Texas
Purchase includes MedSpring Urgent Care centers in Central Texas, five in Austin and one each in Cedar Park and Round Rock.

AUSTIN, TX — St. David's HealthCare has acquired nine MedSpring Urgent Care centers in Central Texas — including five in Austin and one each in Cedar Park and Round Rock — officials said on Monday.
The acquired urgent care centers will be re-branded as re-branded as St. David’s CareNow Urgent Care centers later this year, officials added. The cost of the purchase was not disclosed.
“This acquisition furthers our ability to provide patients with convenient, quality care, growing our urgent care footprint in Central Texas,” David Huffstutler, president and chief executive officer of St. David’s HealthCare, said in a prepared statement. “As the region’s leading healthcare provider, we have built a system around convenience and access in order to meet the needs of our patients, and urgent care is a critical part of this.”

The newly acquired urgent care centers are located in the following areas:
- 11521 Ranch Rd., 620 North (Austin).
- 517 S. Lamar Blvd. (Austin).
- 7212 Burnet Rd. (Austin).
- 3906 N. Lamar Blvd. (Austin).
- 208 W. Ben White Blvd. (Austin).
- 1335 E. Whitestone Blvd. (Cedar Park).
- 1820 Gattis School Rd. (Round Rock).
- 301 N. Guadalupe St. (San Marcos).
- 1567 Main St., Suite 100 (Buda)
St. David’s HealthCare and CareNow currently operate four urgent care centers located in Cedar Park, Round Rock, Hutto and Southwest Austin, officials noted. Hospital system officials described St. David’s HealthCare’s CareNow Urgent Care centers as offering exceptional healthcare services to treat non-emergent medical problems that can develop unexpectedly and require immediate attention, filling the gap between primary care physicians and hospital emergency rooms.
