'Tequila De Los Muertos' Dinner This Halloween Nothing To Boo At

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Why say boo! this Halloween when you can say tequila! instead? Those inclined to exclaim the latter can partake in a "Tequila De Los Muertos” dinner instead of the traditional, candy-centric observance.

El Alma is partnering with Playa Real Tequila in hosting this most intriguing alternative. Located on Barton Springs Road in what its operators describe as a "funky, multi-tiered structure," El Alma is the manifestation of a close friendship between restaurateur Carlos Rivero and chef Alma Alcocer. Together, they bring a fresh approach to Mexican flavors in a cozy and friendly space.

Speaking of space, the upcoming "Tequila De Los Muertos" dinner will take place on the rooftop patio at El Alma, offering stunning views of the downtown Austin skyline throughout the year. Starting at 7 p.m. on Oct. 31, guests will enjoy a four-course prix fixe menu featuring Playa Real Tequila-infused dishes and craft cocktail pairings created by Chef Alma Alcocer-Thomas.
