Texas Kids Eat Free At Freebirds World Burritos This Weekend

Restaurant chain's promotion aims to 'fuel up' families shopping during Tax Free Weekend' with gratis meals for customers 12 and under.

AUSTIN, TX — Kids will get to eat free at Freebirds World Burrito locations this weekend as the chain aims to help families "fuel up" for their shopping during the upcoming "Tax Free Weekend."

As part of the promotion, Freebirds will treat kids 12 and under to free meals at all of its locations with the purchase of an adult entrée starting Friday, Aug. 10 through Sunday Aug. 12. The "weebirds" (as Freebirds calls kids, which we'll let slide because free burritos) kids menu features a choice of a hearty burrito or quesadilla and includes chips and a beverage.

"At the end of the meal, kids are also encouraged to use the foil from their burrito to create one-of-a-kind sculptures that can be displayed in the restaurants’ dining room," Freebirds officials added in a press advisory.

Freebirds doesn't limit it free kids' meals on Tax Free Weekend. Children 12 and under can eat free every Sunday with the purchase of an adult entrée, officials noted.
