Texas Officials Tout FM 969 Widening Project
The $6.6 million road project widened artery to a four-lane roadway with a continuous center-turn lane from Decker Lane to FM 97.

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation is getting ready to celebrate the completion of the FM 969 from Decker Lane to FM 973 project in Travis County, officials said on Monday.
The project widened portions of FM 969 to a four-lane roadway with a continuous center-turn lane from Decker Lane to FM 973, officials explained. The work also included a new sidewalk, new intersection signals, as well as waterline and storm sewer improvements, officials added.
The $6.6 million project was funded by a pass-through financing agreement with Travis County and the City of Austin, according to a TxDot press advisory.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony to official open the project is slated for Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 2 p.m. at the TxDOT Maintenance Office, 8902 FM 969.
