Texas Women’s Basketball Team In Sweet 16 After Victory Over ASU
Monday night's 85-65 victory over Arizona State advances team to 3rd-round Friday night game in Kansas City.

AUSTIN, TX — Hook em horns! The Texas women's basketball team is headed for the Sweet 16 for the fourth straight year after a victory over the Arizona State Monday night.
The final score: 85-65. Brooke McCarty and Ariel Atkins stood out, scoring 15 points and 12 points, respectively, in their final home game at the Erwin Center. Kianna Ibus was the lead scorer with 27 points. All told, the Longhorns shot 61.7 percent from the floor.
The victory improves UT's career record over ASU to 5-0. With a 28-6 record, Texas will next compete against UCLA in the third-round game Friday night in Kansas City.
