Thieves Steal $10K Worth Of Fireworks From Church's Stand

According to Friendship Creekside​ parishioners, someone broke into the stand on Christmas night and stole all of the church's inventory.

AUSTIN, TX - The Hays County Sheriff's Office is on the lookout for a thief who is said to have stolen more than $10,000 from a church's fireworks stand.

According to Friendship Creekside parishioners, someone broke into the stand, which is located between 14455 FM 1826 and Nutty Brown Road, on Christmas night and stole all of the church's inventory.

The money generated from the fireworks sales directly benefits the church's youth programs and ministries, according to the church.

Despite having all of their merchandise stolen, the church reopened the stand Friday at 12 p.m.

American Fireworks replenished the church's inventory, church parishioners said.

"We appreciate your consideration to purchase your celebratory fireworks from us, proceeds will help us defray the costs of the lost inventory (which we are responsible for), and then hopefully, also help fund Friendship’s Youth Programs in 2020!" the church posted on its official Facebook page.
