Travis County Inmate Dies After Being Found In Distress
Jailers early Sunday discovered Ronald Lynn Hall, 55, on the floor of his cell before he died after arriving at the hospital.

AUSTIN, TX — An inmate at the Travis County jail found in distress in his cell has died, officials said Monday.
Ronald Lynn Hall, 55, of Austin was found on the floor of his Travis County Correctional Complex cell in distress on Sunday morning, a sheriff's office spokeswoman said. Hall was rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center while medics performed CPR on him. But by 10:20 a.m., Hall was pronounced dead.
An investigation by the Internal Affairs Unit, the Texas Rangers and the Medical Examiner’s Office is ongoing, as is customary with any death in custody, the spokeswoman said. The autopsy was conducted on Monday, and the final report is pending toxicology results, the official added.

The sheriff's office spokeswoman, Kristen Dark, told Patch Hall was booked into jail on April 26, 2017, on a DWI charge and parole violation.
