Travis County Man Charged With Soliciting Murder Of Ex-Girlfriend
Keith James Cote is said to have offered $10K for the kill, and another $25K '...to watch him put a bullet in her head.'

AUSTIN, TX — Travis County Sheriff's Office deputies early Monday arrested a man accused of soliciting an acquaintance to kill his ex girlfriend in exchange for $25,000.
The sheriff's office in a news advisory said Keith James Cote has been charged with criminal solicitation to commit capital murder, a first degree felony. The charge stems from his alleged offer of $10,000 for the murder and another $15,000 "...to watch him put a bullet in her head," according to the news release.
The solicited acquaintance and his wife notified a detective about the offer. With their cooperation and the assistance of the FBI, the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, the DPS Aviation Unit and the Travis County District Attorney's Office, surveilled meetings were achieved involving the suspect to gather necessary evidence and secure probable cause for an arrest warrant.
