The case dates to May 26, 2018, when Hernandez was found dead by her daughter in their home along the 9600 block of Bear Paw Trail in eastern Travis County. Police and medics were called before Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene.
During the initial investigation, police learned Hernandez’s lived at the residence but not at the home. Neighbors later told police they had seen the couple arguing and the fight had turned physical. Cisneroz was later apprehended in a stolen vehicle. During an interview with investigators, he admitted putting his hands around Hernandez’s throat until she fainted before he fled in Hernandez’s car.
