Travis County Opens Shelters For Hurricane Harvey Evacuees
First two shelters at Delco Center, 4601 Pecan Brook Dr. and LBJ/LASA High School, 7309 Lazy Creek Dr. are now open.

AUSTIN, TX — Travis County officials on Friday opened shelters intended for evacuees of Hurricane Harvey.
The Capital Area Shelter Hub Plan (CASHP) is now active to receive evacuees from Hurricane Harvey, county officials said. The first two shelters, located at Delco Center, 4601 Pecan Brook Dr. and LBJ/LASA High School, 7309 Lazy Creek Dr. are now open. Both are located in North Austin.
Additional shelters will open as needed and announced using the City of Austin Twitter account @austintexasgov, county officials said.

The CASHP is a regional network of emergency shelters operated by the City of Austin, Hays County, Travis County, and Williamson County. As active shelter information and weather may change rapidly, officials will rely on a number of channels to communicate the most recent information to assist those in need of shelter:

County officials noted they are not currently accepting donations. Those interested in volunteering should contact the Red Cross at 1-800-928-4271 or visit their website by clicking here.
