Dine With Your Canine During Austin 'Dog Restaurant Week'

From Nov 12-18, participating restaurants will welcome canine patrons with specially tailored meals plus vodka for their masters.

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Dog lovers: Come next week, you'll be able to take your canine companions to a nice restaurant during Austin's first-ever Dog Restaurant Week with participating eateries tailoring pet-friendly menus for canine patrons.

From Nov. 12–18, customers can bring their furry friends to a participating restaurant in treating them to a fine-doggy-dining experience. Discriminating canine palates will be able to choose from a variety of menu offerings, including:

  • Turkey fall feast garnished with fall vegetables.
  • Beef sliders.
  • Pumpkin truffles.
  • Canine cocktail made of frozen bone broth.

For their masters, Tito's Handmade Vodka will be offered, with a dollar from each sale during Dog Restaurant Week benefiting a pet-related nonprofit. Organizers note the offer is made possible by Vodka for Dog People, a program of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, which works to better the lives of pets and their families, both locally and globally.

Edible Austin is putting together this upcoming event, with Tito's Handmade Vodka serving as sponsor.

After painting the town red with their dogs, those wanting to replicate the offered dishes can do so, thanks to recipes provided by Dragonfly Dog Bowl. That's right: The pawte cuisine — beef sliders, bone broth, pumpkin truffles and a Fall Feast with Turkey and Garden Vegetables can all be duplicated at home.
