U.S. 183, Interstate 35 Weekend Lane Closures Scheduled

Traffic will be detoured on two consecutive weekends starting July 19 as crews install steel beams for a new flyover.

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation will alternate full weekend closures of northbound and southbound U.S. 183 at Interstate 35 over two weekends starting Friday in order to set large steel beams for a new flyover at U.S. 183.

Beginning Friday, July 19, at 9 p.m. until Monday, July 22, at 5 a.m., the northbound U.S. 183 main lanes will be closed north of Cameron Road. TxDOT recommends drivers use U.S. 290 to avoid the closure.
