U.S. 183 Main Lanes To Temporarily Close In Austin
Lanes between I-35 and Cameron Road on Monday night to set concrete beams for the new southbound I-35 to southbound U.S. 183 flyover.
AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation will temporarily close the southbound U.S. 183 main lanes between I-35 and Cameron Road on Monday night to set concrete beams for the new southbound I-35 to southbound U.S. 183 flyover, weather permitting. The southbound US 183 frontage road will remain open.
On Monday night, from 8:30 p.m. until 5 a.m., the southbound U.S. 183 main lanes will fully close from I-35 to Cameron Road. Southbound U.S. 183 traffic can take the southbound I-35 flyover and detour via US 290 to continue on southbound U.S. 183 (see attached detour map).
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, as delays are expected. Road signs have been placed to alert motorists of the upcoming closures. TxDOT asks the traveling public to be patient and remain aware when traveling through the work zone. To learn more about this project, visit My35Construction.org.
