VAMPS Dance Celebrates Ten Years In Austin
Pole dancing as a form of fitness is all the rage these days, and this Austin studio has been there for all its gyrations.

AUSTIN, TX — Pole dancing as a form of fitness has become all the rage. VAMPS Dance — an Austin-based studio focused on pole dance, exotic fitness and inner wellness — has been there through the trend's various gyrations and permutations, and is now poised to celebrate its tenth year in business.
VAMPS, or Vertical Aerial Movement Pole Studio, was founded in 2010 by Amber Tarcha, a local entrepreneur, dance professional, performer, instructor and energy healing practitioner. In a press advisory, she describes finding her passion for pole dance after spending three months learning the skill in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Upon her return to the U.S., she began her journey as an instructor, and later, as a studio owner.
"It is truly humbling to think that what started as teaching friends some pole moves on my living room pole, turned into a full-fledged business that has continued to grow over these ten years with an exciting future ahead!" she said. “The studio turning 10 years old is a testament that people want spaces where they can explore and express their sensual sides and that we all want to feel sexy in our own skin! What I started for my love of pole dancing has become a safe space for healing and growing confidence and empowerment in others."

To celebrate its milestone anniversary, the studio will launch a student and instructor showcase, VAMPS Unleashed. The showcase will take place at Come and Take It Live on Thursday March 5, and will include live pole dance, burlesque, chair performances and more.
“Our showcases have grown bigger and better every year and this year is no exception,” VAMPS manager, Shelbi Aiona noted. “We love to give our students a safe and genuinely amazing opportunity to share their skills with the city. Our 10 year show will bring together students, alumni, and instructors for a night sure to be nothing short of magic, and we can't wait!"
