📢 I'm looking for business owners and marketers in Austin who want to build awareness, connect with customers and increase sales.

I have a limited number of sponsorships available to introduce our Austin Daily readers to local businesses they need to know about. If that's you, then I invite you to learn more and secure your spot now.

Here are the top stories in Austin today:

1) Unsure of what to do with your old Halloween pumpkins? There are happy pigs out in Bastrop County that would be happy to claim those pumpkins for their next meal. KUT reports: "The Central Texas Pig Rescue houses nearly 200 pigs that have been rescued from abuse, animal testing, slaughter and other inhumane situations." Get this, these pigs absolutely love pumpkins! The pigs out at the rescue reportedly eat about 100 pumpkins twice a day. KUT has the scoop on where you can drop your pumpkins off, volunteer opportunities, and what to do with non-fresh pumpkins, as well.

2) A local nonprofit unveiled a new veterans monument days before Veterans Day. FOX 7 Austin reports: "The monument, designed by Texas artist Rose Toro and made possible by the nonprofit Southwest Key Programs, is a mosaic of glass tiles and took about a year to complete." The gorgeous moment can be viewed outside of Southwest Key Programs office at 6002 Jain Ln. FOX 7 Austin has more on this story.

3) An Austin man wanted for murder has been found. 21-year-old Ja Vaughn Katrell Clarke was apprehended Friday by US Marshals in North Austin. FOX 7 Austin reports: "Clarke is accused of the Oct. 30 murder of 22-year-old Demetrius James Lee Jones in downtown Austin." Head to FOX 7 Austin for more on this developing story.

4) Election updates: there are three bond packages on the November election ballot. On Tuesday, Austin voters will decide on three bond packages. KVUE has outlined a breakdown of each bond from Austin ISD, Austin Community College, and an affordable housing bond from the City of Austin – check it out! And again, don't forget to vote.
