Here are the top stories today in Austin:

1) Severe storms are expected in the Greater Austin area this evening. Neighbors, please keep your eyes and ears peeled for weather updates. Heavy rain, damaging winds, tornadoes and hail are all possible. Stay off the roads if you can. Head over to KXAN for the full weather report.

2) Friday's events at the Austin Food & Wine Festival are canceled due to the incoming storm. The Statesman reports: "The Austin Food and Wine Festival was set to open with a new look Friday night, with a sausage-centric event called Wurst Weekend Kickoff for people who had what the fest calls 'All-In' tickets." Impacted ticketholders will receive an email from Front Gate Tickets, and the festival will reconvene on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Statesman has the full scoop.

3) Meta, the parent company of Facebook, decided not to move into the 589,000-square-foot office space at Sixth and Guadalupe. The company signed the lease in January but decided instead to sublet the 33-floor high-rise building. KVUE reports: "During Meta's Quarter 3 earnings call, CEO Mark Zuckerberg reportedly said moving forward, the company is planning to shrink its office footprint through 2023 after being behind on revenue and due to the lack of stability in the economy." Head over to KVUE for the full scoop.

4) Wanted: a 21-year-old man connected to a shooting in Downtown Austin over Halloween weekend. APD has an arrest warrant for first-degree murder out for Ja Vaughn Katrell Clarke, the suspect allegedly connected with the shooting. Anyone with information or video of the incident should call APD Homicide at 512-974-TIPS. KXAN has more on this developing story.

5) New flight alert: American Airlines added a seasonal flight from Austin Bergstrom Airport to Panama City Beach, Florida! The new route will start in spring 2023, so you have time to get your beach bags packed, neighbors. CBS Austin has the full scoop on this announcement.
