WilCo Lighting Of The Square: What To Know
The free event scheduled on Nov. 29, traditionally starts at 5:30 p.m. on the Friday after Thanksgiving.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — The kick-off to the holiday season, the annual Lighting of the Square, is here.
The free event scheduled on Nov. 29, starts at 5:30 p.m. on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The Austin Carolers will be on hand singing favorite holiday tunes. Williamson County Judge Bill Gravell and Georgetown Mayor Dale Ross are scheduled to flip on the holiday lights on the town square.
What's more, Williamson County Brown Santa will offer pictures with Santa inside the courthouse after the lighting for donations of unwrapped toys, wrapping paper or cash.

Downtown shops stay open late during this period, so plan to get in some unique holiday shopping. The downtown holiday lights will come on every evening around 5:30 p.m. through December 31.
