Suspect Grabbed, Fondled Woman At Austin Community College Campus Before She Fled
Campus police seek help from the public to identify man they say tried to drag woman away before she was able to fight him off and flee.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — A man fondled a woman at an Austin Community College campus in southeast Austin earlier this month as she headed to her car before dragging her toward a a red pickup truck, school officials said on their Facebook page on Monday.
The incident occurred at around 10 p.m. on Feb. 15 at ACC's Southeast Austin campus at 1820 W. Stassney Lane. It remains unclear why officials at the school waited nearly two weeks to alert the public. According to college officials, the incident happened along Grove Boulevard when a man left the adjacent golf course, grabbed the woman from behind and fondled her before trying to drag her off.
The suspect is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds, according to ACC officials. He was wearing a dark-colored hoodie and jeans. The woman was able to fight off the attacker and drive away, officials said.

Officials are asking for help from members of the public who may have information about the incident, urging them to call the ACC District Police Department at (512) 223-1231.
"For your safety, avoid be distracted when walking alone," ACC officials advised. "Don't wear headphones or be on your phone. Walk with purpose and have your car keys ready. Better yet, walk in groups or request an escort from ACC District Police by dialing 512-223-1231."
