Winning Lotto Texas Numbers For Wednesday, May 30, 2018

AUSTIN, TX — Nobody matched all six number in Lotto Texas on Wednesday night, meaning that the next drawing this weekend will be for an even $6 million.

The jackpot, had someone won it, would've been for $5.75 million. But, again, nobody matched the numbers. Seven winning tickets matched five of six numbers — good for $2,883 — but that's as close as it got, close but no cigar.

Still, you might want to check your ticket to see if you were among those matching five of six digits or fewer for smaller prizes. The winning Lotto Texas winning numbers for May 30, 2018, are: 8-9-14-34-42-44.

The next drawing is scheduled on Saturday, June 2. The cash value option on that puppy — the lump cash amount most (if not all) lottery winners take rather than the annual annuities option — will be an estimated $4.03 million.

If you watch the local news broadcast, stations usually have the winning numbers as a graphic underneath the talking heads at the anchor desk. Some of the younger folks might not remember, but there was a time when anchors would read the numbers at each lottery draw as the numbered balls were being drawn in Austin. Those were simpler times, when the newness of the lottery was still a thrilling notion for some.

That was yonder back in November 1991, when the Texas lottery was formed. But the novelty of having a lottery has since worn off by these on-air broadcasters, and they typically reserve lottery drawn numbers these days only when the jackpots are particularly huge, offering breathtakingly massive amounts of money.

If you play Powerball, you might be interested in knowing nobody matched all winning numbers for that drawing either. This means the Powerball jackpot on June 2 will have increased to a jaw-dropping $74 million, with a cash value option of $44 million. The winning number for the Powerball jackpot, also drawn on May 30, are: 17-23-26-46-68 with Powerball 20.
