Winning Powerball Numbers For Saturday Dec 23, 2017: $300M Prize

AUSTIN, TX — Saturday night's Powerball jackpot has grown to nearly one-third of a billion dollars (that's $300 million) with a cash payout of roughly $191.1 million for the lucky winner. That would be enough to pay off the credit card bill on those Christmas-related expenses, no? Or to make up for the lesser gifts you may have purchased at the last moment. It would be enough to not have to think twice ever again over the extra charge for avocado at the sandwich delicatessen.

But enough rambling/fantasizing. The winning Powerball numbers for Saturday, Dec. 23, are 1, 3, 13, 15, 44 and the Powerball of 25.

AUSTIN, TX — The winning Powerball numbers for Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, are 1-20-61-64-69 and the Powerball of 20.

There's just one thing: Nobody matched all those numbers, which would've yielded a $269 million or a cash payout option of $171.3 million.

According to lottery officials, the biggest Powerball prizes won in Texas on Wednesday were two tickets matching four of five numbers with Powerball for a cool $50,000 and another two with the same match but using the Power Play option, each winning $100,000.

The next Powerball jackpot drawing will be on Saturday, Dec. 23. The drawing will be for a $300 million jackpot or a cash payout option of $191.1 million. Of course, the odds of winning are about 1 in 292 million, give or take. But, hey, good luck on Saturday.

Oh, by the way, while the $300 million jackpot up for grabs is huge by any reasonable standard, it's hardly the biggest ever. The record prize was a $1.6 billion jackpot in January 2016, which was shared by three winners in Florida, Tennessee and California. The second-biggest jackpot was in August, when a ticket valued at $758 million entered the annals of lottery archives as the second largest Powerball jackpot in the game's history.
