Woman Dies Of Injuries After East Austin 'Disturbance'
Police responded to the 7500 block of Rio Pass at 8:55 p.m., saying a female victim had died of her injuries.
EAST AUSTIN, TX — Police arrested a suspect in the death of a woman in East Austin Saturday night, officials said.
Details were sparse, but police said officers and detectives responded to a disturbance along the 7500 block of Rio Pass at 8:55 p.m. on Saturday in an area near Ed Bluestein Boulevard and Old Manor Road. The female victim died as a result of her injuries, police said.
In their tweet about the crime just before 11:30 p.m., police did not specify if the killing was the result of a domestic disturbance or a random act of violence. However, they assured the public there was no threat to the community after the arrest.

Police indicated no further information would be available until Monday. Patch will update when more information is known.
At 8:55 PM, APD responded to a disturbance in the 7500 blk Rio Pass. A female succumbed to her injuries. Homicide detectives are responding and a suspect is in custody. There is no danger to the community. PIO is not be responding. No further info will be released until Monday.
