Woman Forced Into SUV, Sexually Assaulted In North Austin

Police are looking for a suspect after a woman was taken in a car and assaulted before she was able to call 9-1-1 when she was released.

AUSTIN, TX — Police are seeking a suspect in an aggravated sexual assault that occurred on Wednesday morning in North Austin, officials said.

The incident is believed to have occurred between 2:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. along the 7000 block of Grand Canyon Drive, police said in a press advisory. Police said a woman was forced into a vehicle at knife point as she entered her apartment before she was driven to a nearby location and sexually assaulted.

The victim eventually was release, when she was able to call 9-1-1.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned black man standing at around five feet, nine inches in height of slim build. He was clean-shaven with a flat-top style haircut. A description of the clothes he wore during the incident was unavailable. The suspect is said to have spoken both English and Spanish, police said. The suspect's vehicle is described as a possibly black, mid 90’s, 2-door Chevrolet Blazer.
