Women's Financial Empowerment Event Set For Austin

AUSTIN, TX — A free women's financial empowerment event dubbed Speed Sipping ATX organized by Ethos is scheduled next week.

The event will be hosted at The Riveter co-working space on Monday, March 2, from 9:15 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will feature local financial advisers, wealth management and career experts who are helping women break barriers.

About this event

According to the World Economic Forum, it will take 208 years for women to reach gender equality in the U.S. This means women make less money, invest less money, and prepare for their financial legacies less than their male counterparts. Lame right? To address the resulting career and retirement gap, Ethos is hosting a series of “Speed Sipping” workshops at co-working spaces in San Francisco, Austin, and Salt Lake City. Workshops will focus on building wealth and managing budgets while also stressing the importance of securing your financial future with life insurance.
