Argument Over Car Leads To Broken Jaw, Possible Permanent Disfigurement
A man who accused another of car damages and demanded money allegedly turned violent.

An argument over damage to a car escalated into a physical altercation, with one man allegedly being knocked unconscious and suffering a broken jaw
Anthony James Barnes, 49, allegedly demanded money for damages to his vehicle from another man, police were not able to immediately confirm if an accident occurred. The altercation, which took place on the 1000 block of Springdale Street, ended in injuries that could lead to permanent physical damage.
When the victim refused to pay, Barnes allegedly struck him multiple times in the face, knocking him unconscious. Barnes continued to strike the victim after knocking him to the ground and repeatedly grabbed his head, slamming it into the pavement.

The victim suffers a broken jaw, broken nose, and one-inch-long laceration on his head. The affadavid stated the extent of the injuries “is a great potential for permanent disfigurement of [the] jawline and nose.”
Barnes was charged with a second-degree felony of aggravated assault with serious bodily injury. He’s being held on a $100,000 bond.
