Austin Airport To Launch New Nonstop Service To London Early Next Year
Flights by Norwegian launching in March represent the first in Texas to be offered by the carrier, Austin airport officials said.

AUSTIN, TX – A Norwegian airliner has announced nonstop service from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to London, making the city's airport the first in Texas with service from the carrier.
Norwegian Air Shuttle officials said the service will be launched March 27, 2018. Flights will depart three times per week on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Tickets are already available for booking at www.norwegian.com/us. Norwegian competitor British Airways currently flies out of ABIA to London.
“We’re very excited to bring the Norwegian experience to Austin,” said Norwegian’s CEO Bjørn Kjos. “This city makes perfect sense as our first entry into the Lone Star state. Austin is one of the fastest-growing cities in America, which perfectly fits Norwegian, being the world’s fastest-growing airline. We see great opportunities with our new route, both in terms of lowering trans-Atlantic fares for Austinites and bringing more tourists and business travelers to the region, which will help support thousands of local jobs.”
