Austin Police Say Missing 91-Year-Old Man Found Safe [UPDATED]

Robert Davis was last seen early Thursday afternoon after saying he was driving to the bank.

UPDATE: Police said Friday afternoon that Robert Davis, the missing 91-year-old man reported missing the previous day has been found safe.

EAST AUSTIN, TX — Police seek assistance from the public in locating an elderly man who went missing on Thursday afternoon after saying he was driving to his bank.

Robert Davis, 91, was last sen at 15017 FM Road at about 1 p.m. on Thursday. He was driving a blue Chevrolet Silverado with Texas license plates CL 8455. Davis said he was going to the bank at Capital Plaza but never returned.

The missing nonagenarian is described as a black male standing six feet two inches who weighs 190 pounds. He has gray balding hair brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a brown button-up shirt.

Police released a photo of the missing man:

Anyone with information regarding the missing man's whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately and/or the Missing Persons Unit at (512) 974-5250 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

FM 969 begins at an intersection with Loop 111 (Airport Boulevard), east of Interstate 35 and proceeds east along MLK Boulevard for 6.3 miles, passing by Morris-Williams Golf Course and U.S . 183 before leaving the Austin city limits.
