EAST AUSTIN, TEXAS — Police on Monday asked for help from the public in identifying a suspect accused of trying to asexually assault a woman at a running track earlier this month.
The incident dates to Oct. 9 at 7:45 p.m. when a woman was grabbed from behind and pulled off the track at 513 Vargas Rd., police said. The suspect tried to pull the woman's pants down, but was able to fight off her attacker and seek help, according to police.
The suspect is described as a black male in his mid 20s standing about five feet, nine inches in height. He has a thin build and curly hair. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing something on his head and his mouth was shiny — possibly outfitted with a "grill," according to police.
