Austin Police Vehicle Catches Fire In East Austin
Car fire at Tillery Street and Govalle Avenue likely sparked by road flares leaves officer with minor injuries, emergency officials said.

EAST AUSTIN, TX — A police patrol vehicle caught fire in East Austin on Thursday night, a blaze likely sparked by road flares, fire officials said.
The SUV caught fire at Tillery Street and Govalle Avenue, according to fire officials. The back of the vehicle caught fire as the officer was driving, fire officials added in a tweet.
The officer was treated for minor injuries at the scene, according to the account.
