Child Injured In East Austin Hit-And-Run Incident
A 14-year-old reportedly was struck by a car along the 3500 block of Webberville Road near the Bedford Street area Tuesday night.

EAST AUSTIN, TX — Police are reportedly investigating a hit-and-run incident that left a child injured in East Austin, asking for the public's help in locating the suspect's vehicle.
Police said a 14-year-old was struck by a car along the 3500 block of Webberville Road near the Bedford Street area Tuesday night at around 11:15 p.m. The child was rushed to a hospital that night in serious condition, police said.
Police added the driver left the scene after the collision. By Wednesday evening, police issued surveillance camera images of the suspect's vehicle in the hopes somebody might recognize the vehicle and alert them as to its whereabouts.

The images are grainy, but police hope someone might recognize the vehicle nonetheless. The vehicle is described as a 1990s model, single-cab (two-door) white Ford Ranger or similar model. There was a large container or box in the truck bed the night of the collision, police noted.
