East Austin Man Accused Of Robbing Friend, But Leaving Note Behind
The signed note explained the friend was being taxed for not having provided a $2 loan the day before.

EAST AUSTIN, TX -- Upset his friend didn't loan him $2, a man is accused of robbing his home but leaving a note of apology of sorts behind.
According to an arrest affidavit cited by KEYE-TV, the robbery victim arrived at his apartment in the 1700 block of Burton Drive earlier this month to find it burglarized. A flat screen television, $50 in cash and other propery was missing.
A handwritten note left behind by the alleged culprit yielded a useful bit of evidence as to what had occurred. In the note, the suspect complains of the treatment he'd recently received from his friend, including his refusal to loan him $2.

Mark Dana Kenady, 56, explained in the note that the victim should view the missing property as his being "taxed" for his refusal to provide the loan, but added he "still appreciates him" as a friend. Kenady signed the note explaining the unconventional taxation, and investigators were able to match it to the signature on the suspect's Texas identification card.
Kenady is now behind bars, charged with a 2nd degree felony.
