East Austin Man Charged With Trying Set Daughter's Home Ablaze
Willie Walton, 63, is said to have been upset over a misplaced debit card before being arrested by police.

EAST AUSTIN, TX — A man is accused of trying to set house to his daughter's home over an argument about a misplaced debit card, according to a report.
Willie Walton, 63, is said to have called his daughter on May 18 demanding to know where the card was, according to a newly released arrest affidavit, KVUE reported. The woman later saw scorch marks on her East Austin home when she drove past it to see the damage upon her return. She told police she then saw Walton pulling a lawnmower inside the home turned over to empty the gasoline in the tank onto the living room floor.
The woman said she managed to push her father away as he tried igniting the spilled gas, suffering a stabbing injury to the hand in the process. The monetary damage to the home was placed at around $500.

Walton remains in Travis County Jail with bond set at $105,000 from separate charges. A booking photo was unavailable.
