East Austin Tacos to 'Eat Before You Die'

Texas Monthly has once again released its list of ”tacos to eat before you die.”

This year’s list features 120 different tacos from the state of Texas and 13 from the city of Austin. The list explored the wide variety of taco offerings in the state. And Texas has it all when it comes to tacos.

Crispy or soft? Traditional mexican or Tex-Mex? Simple ingredients or wacky combinations? Tacos lovers in the state can find whatever their heart desires.

Out of the 13 Austin Tacos to make the list, six East Austin staples were featured.

Here are the restaurants, and the type of taco, that you should check out:

• Tamale House East, 1707 E. Sixth St: Fish
• Rosita’s al Pastor, 1911 E. Riverside Dr: Gringa
• Joe’s Bakery and Coffee Shop, 2305 E. Seventh: Barbacoa
• Veracruz All Natural, 4208 Manchaca Rd: Migas
• Tacos Guerrero, 2531 Pleasant Valley Rd: Chorizo, Egg, and Potato
• Taco-Mex, 2611 Manor Rd: Carnitas
