East Austin Trailer Home Fire Blamed On Unattended Cooking
Firefighters were dispatched to 8207 Canoga Ave. early Sunday to put out blaze that completely destroyed the structure.

EAST AUSTIN, TX — Firefighters responded to a trailer home fire blamed on unattended cooking.
The fire occurred on 8207 Canoga Ave. close to 2:30 a.m. Sunday, just east of Highway 183 off Decker Lane. Residents apparently left their cooking unattended, sparking the conflagration in a case of culinary neglect that resulted in structural damage of $20,000, according to information provided by fire officials.
No injuries were reported, but fire officials categorized the damage from the accidental fire as a total loss.
