Elderly Woman Calls Police After Being Stabbed In Shoulder

The victim in her 80s was rushed to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

EAST AUSTIN, TX — An elderly woman is recovering after being stabbed in the shoulder Saturday afternoon.

According to the Austin American-Statesman, police were called to the 1100 block of Montopolis Drive just before 5 p.m. on Saturday. Once there, they found a woman in her 80s with a stab wound to her shoulder. The woman was rushed to University Medical Center Brackenridge for treatment of her injury, which was deemed not to be life-threatening.

Police said the robbery may have occurred during the commission of a robbery.
