Fairmont Hotel In Downtown Austin Seeking To Hire 800-Plus Workers

AUSTIN, TX — The new Fairmont Austin hotel being built downtown has more than 800 positions that need filling, according to reports.

The hotel at East Cesar Chavez and Red River streets is expected to open this fall. A check at its website shows its need to fill a variety of jobs —from bar managers to cooks and hairstylists to security officers. Other jobs up for grabs include dishwashers, doorperson, pastry cooks and security officers.

With 1,048 rooms, the Fairmont will be the city's largest hotel when it opens later this year.
