'Fall Into Music' Drive Seeks Donated Musical Instruments For Central Texas Youth

AUSTIN, TX — The Hispanic Alliance and KMFA Classical 89.5 officials are asking for donations of gently used musical instruments and related accessories for their fourth annual "Fall Into Music" drive.

The drive kicks off this Saturday, Nov. 12, and continues until Nov. 19, according to information on the organizers' website.

Donations support Austin youth music programs. The donated goods will be disbursed to ten area schools and non-profit organizations serving youth throughout the Central Texas region. Organizers said they hope to reach a goal of 1,000 musical instruments donated.

On the organizers' website, those interested in donating are asked to print out a form to fill out first and then drop off donations at one of 11 drop-off points. Those without instruments to donate also can make financial contributions to help defray repair costs.

Donors will receive a tax receipt after making their tax-deductible donations. For more information, click on the "Fall Into Music" website.
